The SK08110 is a Firstack single-channel gate driver solution for press-pack IGBT modules, with an 8 W drive power, a 110 A peak output current and a 4500 V maximum breakdown voltage. It uses Firstack's master board plus slave board architecture, where the master board provides standardised, reliable drive and protection and the configurable slave board adapts to the module and the converter topology. That combination gives both the consistency of a standard design and the flexibility of a custom one, which shortens the development cycle. The protection set includes short-circuit detection, undervoltage lockout, soft shutdown, di/dt protection, active clamping, a highly robust DC/DC and NTC sampling, and the driver supports multi-level topologies, which suits high-voltage DC transmission, rail traction and motor drives.
